Photos & privacy

Here is exactly what happens to your child's photo.

  • Nothing is saved on this iPad. The photo is used to draw the sheet and then it is gone. It never goes into the iPad's photo library.
  • We never store the photo. It is held in memory only for the few seconds the drawing takes, then discarded. It is never written to a disk on our side.
  • Location data is removed. GPS and other camera information are stripped from the photo before anything else happens to it.
  • Only the finished sheet is kept, for 2 hours. It is stored in Australia and deleted automatically. Nobody has to remember to do it.
  • The QR code works for those 2 hours. After that it explains that the sheet has been deleted, rather than showing it.
  • No names, no accounts, nothing shared. We do not ask for any details, and the sheet is not posted anywhere.

The line drawing is made by Google's image AI. Under our paid agreement with Google, images are not used to train or improve their products.
